Payment and device safety

TCV VIP Payments and Account Security

Neutral checks for UPI requests, transaction records, suspicious messages, account protection and safer mobile access.

This independent site cannot confirm or resolve an official transaction. Verify payment details inside your bank or payment application.
Payment verification and account security checks

Read a UPI request before approving

A UPI collect request asks you to send money when approved. It is not evidence that money is being credited to you. Confirm the recipient name, amount, note and request type inside the trusted payment application before entering a UPI PIN.

A screenshot, chat confirmation or animated success message is not a substitute for the transaction status shown by your bank or payment provider. Keep the reference number and time when a genuine dispute needs to be raised.

  • Check recipient and amount.
  • Read whether the request sends or receives money.
  • Never share a UPI PIN or OTP.
  • Verify settlement in the payment application.

Protect the account and device

Use a unique password, active screen lock and current system updates. Review active sessions after a password, SIM or device change. Remove access for devices you no longer control.

Do not install remote-control software or accessibility tools at the request of an unknown contact. Screen sharing can reveal OTP messages, balances and account details even when you do not send them in a chat.

Respond to suspicious pressure

Urgency is a common warning sign. A person may claim that a payment, bonus or account will expire immediately unless you approve a request. Pause, close the message and verify through a separately obtained address.

Do not pay a fee to unlock a guaranteed withdrawal or result. If instructions conflict with the account screen or bank record, keep evidence and use verified official support channels.

Financial limits are a security control

A spending limit protects more than a password. Decide an affordable maximum before participating and keep essential funds separate. Never borrow money or raise a limit to recover a loss.

Review transactions after each session and stop when an amount or instruction is unclear. Security tools cannot make financial outcomes certain.

  • Use a fixed affordable budget.
  • Keep essential funds separate.
  • Review transaction history.
  • Stop when details conflict.
